The Office of Admissions will email or phone you if you have been selected for an interview on campus. We have transitioned to a paperless system and therefore will not communicate with applicants by regular mail. With this understanding of our form of communication it is the responsibility of the applicant to check PharmCAS status changes and email communications from our institution on a ongoing basis throughout the admission process.
Travel Information
Airport and Airlines
The nearest airport is Sacramento International Airport, located about 20 minutes away from the Rancho Cordova area. Several major airlines serve this airport including American Airlines, Continental, Delta, ExpressJet, Frontier, Hawaiian Airlines, Horizon, Jet Blue, Southwest, United, United Express, and US Airways.
Travelling to Campus
From the Airport: Taxi Fare from the airport to Rancho Cordova can be very expensive, ranging anywhere from $100 ~ $120 round trip. We recommend renting a car or taking the Super Shuttle. Several car rental companies are located at the airport including Hertz, Avis, Budget, and Enterprise. Super Shuttle reservations can be made at supershuttle.com for trips to and from the campus at a reasonable fee. Please note: The shuttle will usually be full and will drop passengers off at multiple locations in the Sacramento area, so allow for at least 45 minutes to an hour for the shuttle to reach our campus. The Super Shuttle booth is located near the airport baggage area.
Driving: MapQuest and vehicle navigation systems can be used to obtain directions to Rancho Cordova. However, it has been reported that some online directions do not take you to the correct address but rather a location several blocks away. It is best to use the following directions:
Once you are nearing the city of Rancho Cordova on Highway 50 take the Zinfandel Exit. If travelling from the east take the off ramp and turn left on Zinfandel. Go across the overpass and continue to International Drive. Turn right on International Drive and travel one block to the corner of Quality Drive and International Drive. Turn right on Quality Drive, then left into the first driveway. The college's address is 10811 International Drive, Rancho Cordova. The college is contained in a two-story glass and stucco building. If travelling from the west take the Zinfandel exit and turn right onto Zinfandel. Continue to International Drive. Turn right on International Drive. Proceed to the corner of Quality and International Drive. Turn right on Quality Drive, then left into the first driveway. View Map
The Interview 
Intervew days are typically scheduled for a half day of 4 ~ 5 hours. Dress attire is professional. Plan to arrive 30 minutes early to check in and prepare for the interview session. Applicants should not arrive earlier than the time indicated above. You will interview with a faculty/student panel. The panel will ask questions primarily about your health care experience, knowledge of the profession and future plans. The main focal point of the interview is to assess your critical thinking, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
Team-Based Learning Activity
Since we are a team-based learning (TBL) college which incorporates learning with team activities, all candidates invited to interview will be required to participate in a full TBL exercise. The TBL session will take about 1½ hours.
Writing Sample
You will complete a writing exercise to assess your written communication and critical thinking skills.
Tour of the Facility
A tour of the campus will be given by our Student Ambassadors.
